What qualifications are needed for a dog to be in the Smartydog Hall of Fame?

What makes a dog distinct is the relationship that you have shared with them.  Every dog that you have loved has special qualities and is welcome in the Smartydog Hall of Distinction

What is a smartydog ?

A smartydog is a dog who has attended class with
Martha Bailey.  The phrase was coined by a group of clients who had taken more than one dog to Marty's classes.  They would refer to the dog at home who had previously taken classes with Marty as a "smartydog".  Dogs who have not attended classes with Martha are welcome in our hall of fame

Does a dog have to be a smartydog to be in the hall of fame?

Absolutely not. Any dog that you wish to honor may be in the Smartydog Hall of fame

Will you take down the hall of fame when you open the training center

The Smartydog Hall of Fame represents a lot of truly wonderful relationships between dogs and their owners, I love seeing the pictures of those awesome dogs.  I plan to continue to host the hall of fame.  I may even post some of the pictures in the training center.

Let's be honest Martha, aren't you just begging for money?

I'm sure some people will see it that way, but if they do they probably don't know me very well.  I'm asking for help so that I can build a training center that offers more than basic training, one that offers a lot of different ways to connect and communicate with your dog...  more ways to enhance your relationship with your dog and improve their quality of life.

I'm done donating for this year, can I help by prepay for my training classes?

Absolutely, there are two conditions

1. Please indicate that you are pre-paying for training classes.

2. The funds must be used within 18 months as we wouldn't keep records for this event longer than 18 months.

How is $20.00 going to help you?

Over the last 25 years thousands of dogs have attended our classes, if people choose to help we will be well on our way to creating a wonderful place to bring your dog

Unfortunately, the training center is too far from my home to take weekly classes will you be offer any special events?

It was a very difficult decision to move away from the Hartford area.  I have made so many dear friends over the years.

So many clients have brought a puppy to class, gotten married, had kids and then in time come back to class with a new puppy.

Their kids have become adults and have brought their puppies to class.

I feel like a part of so many families. people I care about deeply.

But let's be honest, for some people it just won't be convenient  to attend weekly classes in Cheshire.

We plan to offer regular "one time" events so everyone can come and try new things with their dogs at the training center.

(People from the Hartford area have come to the center to help get things ready they were surprised how quickly they were able to get there.)

Can I donate if I don't want my dog in the Smartydog Canine Hall of fame?
